The Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples’ Region is a regional state in southwestern Ethiopia. The region’s major cities and towns include Arba Minch, Sodo, Jinka, Dila, Boditi, Areka, Butajira, Welkite, Bonga, Hosaena and Worabe.

There are different tourist sites that could be interesting to visit. The waterfalls found between Wolaita and Kembatatenbro zone. Arbaminch which is one of the fast growing & major tourist destination in the region as well as in the nation. It is a spectacular lakeside town and overlooks lake Abye to the north & lake Chamo to the south. In Arba Minch one can also find the fascinating crocodile ranch. This town filled with activities is situated on main high way route to the country’s famous tourist destinations, The UNESCO world heritage sites konso cultural landscape and the dry stone terraces, as well as the lower Omo valley paleontological site & the colorful cultural ethnic attractions.
